Camels with a Cause is a charity fundraising organization, empowered by a staff of more than 60 at cj Advertising, whose goal is to help raise much needed funds for worthy causes every year.
Sumner County Arthritis Walk 2009
Members of Camels with a Cause put on their walking shoes and raised more than $7,500 for the breakout cause of 2009—the Goodlettsville/Sumner County (TN) Arthritis Walk. The walk, which took place on April 19, 2009, at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Goodlettsville, was an opportunity to raise funds for the Arthritis Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to fighting the effects of arthritis and working towards finding a cure.
Meet the Clarks
Research funded by the Arthritis Foundation in past years has led to the discovery of new biological medications that have helped arthritis sufferers lead more productive, less painful lives. Zoni Clark has felt the direct benefit of that research, and with Remicade, one of these new medications, she is able to raise her three children and experience life more fully and more pain free than ever before.
Zoni, who was the 2009 Goodlettsville/Sumner County Arthritis Walk Chairwoman, was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at age 12 after excruciating knee pain led her to arthroscopic surgery. In the 18 years since her diagnosis, she has lost full range of motion in her left arm due to irreparable damage from arthritis in her elbow, and has dealt with exhausting pain every day from the effects of the disease. But thanks to funds raised in previous Arthritis Walks, she is now able to walk without pain and enjoy her family more freely.
Zoni is the wife of Oasis Resources’ Development Team Lead, Jason Clark, who led the Camels with a Cause efforts at cj Advertising for the Arthritis Walk.
